Goričko

Head to Lake Bukovniško for healing-energy points. On to the Orchid grown farm in Slovenia, Ocean Orchid and visit its tropical garden where over 4000 orchids bloom everyday.
Vipava valley
Colourful nature, excellent wines and cuisine and special accommodation are on disposal in Vipava. Visit the town, criss-crossed by little bridges. After dinner at Gostilna Podfarovž head to hidden forest village Theodosius for overnight at wooden cabin.
Visit Ajdovščina with the Roman heritage, Goče, a stone village with many wine cellars. Drive to medieval town Vipavski Križ. Visit the old castle and Capuchin monastery. At Saksida Estate in village Zalošče surrounded by vineyards enjoy a lunch.
Kočevsko
Perfect place to discover authentic natural environment, untouched nature and pristine forests. Walk thematic route through Kočevje, visit the lake with many bird species and fish, walk on the Eagle’s Trail. Overnight at wooden cabin at Camp Jezero Kočevsko.
Explore the wilderness, caves, virgin forest. Visit local beekeeper, castle complex in Kostel region, enjoy view of the Kolpa River canyon, pass the Nežica waterfall, Grbac mill, visit a farm to learn about endangered animal species. Take a break along the Kolpa River.
Škofja Loka
Immerge in this well-preserved historic town, full of tradition and creativity. Discover the surroundings while cycling on electric bike around Škofja Loka hills and Sorško fields. On the route visit one of the local farms to taste local products.
Enter the cave Mary’s Chasm, a labyrinth of, in places, very narrow tunnels. It consists of several caverns which extend 275 metres below the surface and spread west from Škofja Loka Castle.

Starting the program on the coast, a transport from your arrival airport is arranged and you are transfered to Izola, the small fishing port of Slovenia. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Istrian flavours
Relax at the seafront or explore the small fishing port before meeting your throughout guide/driver. Onward to Morgan olive oil farm for olive oil tasting. Slovenian Istria is known for high quality olive oil, small in production but great in taste.
Onward to Kraški Rob (Karst cliff) for a short hiking and explore the breathtaking view overlooking Trieste bay on the top. Return to Izola and overnight. Explore the dinner opportunity on your own in town.
History & nature
In the morning enjoy the seafront before heading the Koper area, exploring its old town and its nearby wetland reserve Skocjanski zatok where one is able to observe birds by the busiest port in the Adriatic sea.
Continue to Smartno in Goriska Brda region. Overnight in Smartno, in the local hotel sitting on the hill. Enjoy delicious cooked dinner prepared with the local ingredients at hotel. Overnight.
Charming Brda
Start with a full day sightseeing tour of the region. Explore the beautiful town of Smartno located on the hill and overlook the Toscana like scenery. Continue to Stanjel one of the oldest settlements in the Karst area dated back in medieval time.
Walk around the Ferrari Garden designed by the famous Italian architect Max Fabiani and the remain of the self-sufficient water supply system. Wine tasting in the surrounding area. Explore the dinner opportunity on own in town.
Historic trail
Depart for Soča region. Soča valley is known for its magnificent Alpines and emerald green river. Have a hike of the Kozjak waterfall (2h approximately) to appreciate its fresh air and nature beauty.
Stop in Kobarid town, mentioned in Hemmingway’s Farewell to Arms. Visit the World War I museum. Enjoy an early dinner at local restaurant with locally brewed draft beer. Continue to Bovec and overnight.
Emerald river
Explore the Soča Valley, walk along some Soča Trails and stop by the river front to feel the cold brewed water that remain around 8C even during the hot summer.
Admire the big & small Gorges which are formed by the water cutting through the limestones for hundreds of years. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to Bovec and overnight.
Sweet break
Head to next Eden destination. Pass by the highest mountain pass Vrsic (1.611m) in Eastern Julian Alpes. There is a wooden Russian chapel at the end of pass to commemorate the builders of this path, Russian soldiers enslaved here after World War I.
A stop at Radovljica, a small town, capital of honey and chocolate. Visit the beekeeping education center in Lesce or Museum of Apicutlure in town. Continue to Logarska Dolina. Dinner en route at local restaurant or upon arrival at the Logarska valley.
Stunning nature
Drive through the Solcava paranomic road to appreciate its unique beauty. Along the route, admire the peaks, hills and valleys, and pass by highland farms, producing everything offered by nature.
Lunch en route at local farm. Return to Logar valley and enjoy the afternoon at the quintessential surroundings at your own pace. Overnight in Logarska valley
Glacial valley
Enjoy free time of the surroundings before heading to the Robanov kot. Hike along this route to appreciate the beauty of Glacial valley. Visit an eco herb farm to learn the herbs of area, herbal farms and herbal tea tasting in
the area. En route, stop at the Solcava TIC for a visit of the local craft souvenir and a small museum. Also a great place for a cup of tea with apple strudel. Continue to Podcetrtek and check in hotel. Dinner at hotel.
Meeting monks
Explore the surrounding of this newly awarded Eden destination. Visit the Olimje Monastery whose history could be dated back to 1015. Today the monastery has returned to its religious use together with old pharmacy house and
herb farms that are open for public visit. Continue to the Haler Brewery, a home run micro brewery using local ingredients including hops from Savinja valley. Afternoon free to enjoy the wellness facilities at Hotel. Dinner at hotel.
Magnificant castle
Enjoy the hotel wellness facilities before heading to the tourist farm located in Kozje for wine tasting and lunch. Admire the wonderful view and enjoy the nature surroundings.
Continue visit to Podsreda castle (possible to reach on foot also via Podsreda town approximately 1,7km) before heading to Ljubljana. Upon arrival, check in hotel and rest.
Vibrant capital
Full day visit with local guide to explore the Green capital of Europe of 2016. Ljubljana old town is small that everything is within reach of walking. A true Green tourism practice. Open market is available for visit few days during the week. Indoor market also

Travel tips
Zagreb area
Program designed for lovers of nature and culture. Explore Heritage sites of Zagreb with the upper and lower town districts, Varaždin, former capital of Croatia and visit Trakošćan castle, combining neo-renaissance to gothic and baroque styles.
Drive to Plesivica wine road, visit local vineyards where the winemakers will present the wine tastings to you. Sample 4-5 wines at each winery, and snack on a platter of meat and cheese while soaking up the fabulous views of the surrounding vineyards.
Zadar region
Program full of sun, sea and culture. Visit island Pag, known for its beautiful nature and clear sea, rich cultural heritage and salt plain. Visit the oldest olive tree in the world, lace factory, gallery and cheese factory for tasting. Continue to Paklenica National park,
declared as UNESCO’s world heritage site. Onward to Nin, a small island on the lagoon, an Eden destination. Explore Zadar, its old town and the famous sea organ by the seafront. Dinner at local restaurant, recommended by Michelin guide.
Šibenik
Green and blue program. Stay and enjoy homemade dinner at the tourist farm Kaplic near Krka National park, known for its various waterfalls and hiking&mountain bike routes. Visit the nearby Bibic winery. Explore Šibenik old town including a special visit to the St.
Nikolas Fortress with a boat. Head to Murter port to board a boat to the Kornati National park, with 89 different islands and known as nautical paradise. Have a break at Island of Mana, light lunch on board and some free time to swim on the Island of Levrnaka.
Slavonia
Where the past meets the future. Visit Papuk Nature park, pristine oasis and have traditional lunch at Jankovac Hut. See Kutjevački podrum winery and Slavonski Brod Fortress. In Djakovo visit the State Stud Farm. Pass through remembrance places Vinkovci and Vukovar. Stop in llok, pretty medieval town. From the hill
Principovac admire this fertile land and vineyards. In Osijek stroll restored city centre. Enjoy the serene view, calm water and birds flying around in Nature Park Kopački Rit. Drive to Karanac ethno village and try local Slavonian dishes cooked on open fire. In village Suza participate in authentic Baranja pottery workshop.
Karlovac
Designed for lovers of unspoiled and peaceful nature. Travel to Mrežnica village, known for its clean water and eco system and overnight in a wooden chalet surrounded by the oak&birch trees with river nearby. Have a swim in the river, walk by the riverbank. Head to Karlovac to explore the Dubovac castle and the Aquatika freshwater museum.
Drive south into the Lika region, through the mountain range of Velebita. Stop at Gospic, visit Nikola Tesla memorial centre and on to Linden tree ranch resort for overnight. The resort offers a full schedule of onsite activities including horseback riding, trail adventures, sports and evening programs.
Croatia less travelled, 13 days tour
Eden destination
In one of the most popular tourist destinations, Croatia discover amazing hidden places that are still waiting to be explored. Among them are also awarded European Destinations of Excellence. First on the itinerary is Sveti Martin na Muri, the Eden destination
of Croatia 2019, known for its water and eco system of Mura river. To reach the place, closest airport is Zagreb where local guide/driver awaits and transfers you to the hotel. Stay overnight in wellness hotel where the dinner is waiting for you.
Mura river mill
Enjoy the hotel wellness facilities before noon. Head for a short hike of the education trail of the Mill on Mura by the Mura river (3,5km) just by the floating mill on the river.
Visit reconstructed floating mill and the Visitor centre, Miller’s house. Head to the wine tasting-in the nearby vineyard and then return to hotel for dinner.
City of towers
After breakfast, onward to the capital city at Northern tip of Croatia, Varaždin. Stroll down old town, observe the many church towers and explore its baroque style architecture that includes villa, monuments and its City hall, one of the oldest in Europe.
Enjoy lunch at local restaurant before heading to Buzet, town from middle ages lying on a hilltop above a fertile valley of the longest Istrian river, the Mirna. Upon arrival at Buzet, explore its old town.
Hilltop views
The villages and town of Istria were all fortified. Walls were built on the hilltops as a protection when the first people, Histri settled here. An estimated 136 such towns are in Istria
though quite some are abandoned, others have retained their historic walls and buildings. Nowadays this part is recognised as a region of exquisit wine, truffles and olive oil. Return to Buzet and dinner at hotel.
Istrian seaside
Spend the day on Istrian Seaside and explore Poreč, town of a thousand year history, Rovinj, one of the most photogenic towns in the Mediterranean via Lim Channel, a part of the Lim gorge. Continue to Opatija, traditional elitist tourist resort
and Rijeka, principal seaport city. The Istria seaside part has a strong influence of Italy, followed by the Austro-Hungarian empire. Though a small part of the country, it is rich in diversity and charm.
Mountain walk
Explore one of the best hidden National Parks of Croatia, Risnjak National Park which is part of the vast Gorski Kotor plateau that separates Croatia from Slovenia. Hiking the Leska Trail (4.2km, easy and well signposted, approximately 2h)
admire forests, grass lands as well as many karst features. Onward to Croatia inland, alone the Velebit mountain range and arrive to Otočac. Enjoy dinner prepared with local ingredients at hotel.
Unique lagoon
Continue the journey to the Dalmatian seaside of Croatia via the mountain drive. Head to Nin, a small island on the lagoon, connected to mainland by stone bridges.
An Eden destination, Nin is also known as the most romantic town in Croatia just few kilometers north of Zadar. Visit the old town before heading to Zadar and overnight.
Zadar archipelago
Visit one of the Zadar archipelago Ugljan via scheduled ferry. Upon arrival at Ugljan, discover the island rich history, its small town Preko and strolling on its winding roads.
If time allows drive to Pašman, the island of joy and hapiness with beautifull beaches. Return to Zadar and explore the town. Overnight in Zadar.
Oldest vineyards
Continue down the coastline and explore the region around Primosten where the first vineyards along the coast of Dalmatia appeared. The Babic grape originated in this region, enjoys its full bodies and balanced note of acidity because of its way of
cultivation-low growing vine grown inside the walls protected from the cold north wines and kept cold in hot summer months. Enjoy the lunch with wine tasting in local tourist farm before heading further to Trogir and overnight.
Unesco heritage
Drive to Split to explore the UNESCO listed town full of history and artistic interests. Continue to Omiš, the small town set in between canyon and the sea. Stroll in the old town
and appreciate the view from the Mirabela fortress over Dalmatian island. Return to Trogir, located within medieval walls on a tiny island. Explore the town and overnight.
7 waterfalls
Today we will head north to Krka National Park, which covers mainly the middle and lower stretches of river Krka. Starting from inland town Knin,
the river flows through canyon and plateau and finally forms lakes and waterfalls with the famous Skradinski Buk fall. Continue to Croatia’s capital and overnight.
Metropolitan city
Full day discovery of Zagreb. The capital is divided in two parts, with Kaptol (Cathedral) on the hill and lower town on the plain. Apart being the political centre, Zagreb enjoys also a high density of museums,
theatres and cultural events, which makes it a vibrant capital that caters all needs. Do not miss the Zagreb open green market where you could take part of the daily life of the locals.
Tour highlight
At the end, which sight would you pick for the highlight of this tour? Although includes a great part of the country, still numerous attractions stay hidden as present itinerary does not even reach the southern part of Croatia.
